Main Switchboards

(Main Switchboard) Available from manual operation, semi-automatic to fully automatic systems which are suitable for marine, offshore and industrial applications.

"Terasaki" Main Switchboards are of multi-cubicles, totally enclosed and dead front type. It is constructed with electro-galvanised steel sheets, treated and coated with epoxy powder paint. It is of robust construction, vibration resistance, and designed to suit the most stringent application requirements.

Besides offering Terasaki's standard designs, we also customise the design of main switchboards according to our customers' requirements. The switchboards are designed to comply with IEC439 standard, and of Form 2, 3, or 4 as appropriate. It can also be designed to comply with any national standards, such as JIS, CEI, NEMA, etc. Main Switchboards type-tested by ASTA are also available.

Marine Main SwitchBoard) The main switchboards are equipped with necessary control devices and instruments required, and all electrical components mounted (in the inside and outside) are arranged such that they can be easily accessible for operation, inspection and maintenance from the front and rear.

All electrical components used have been carefully selected to ensure high reliability and quality, while every considerations are made to ensure that spares parts would be easily available worldwide. The main components such as Air Circuit Breakers, Moulded Case Circuit Breakers and automatic control devices used are of "Terasaki" make.

Type approvals and certifications by various approving authorities for electrial components are also available.

For automatic changeover and sequential start functions, Terasaki's latest ESM Series printed circuit board module offers space saving in the designs of the starters in the motor control centre.

The Terasaki's ESM series is a highly reliable control device, which is of innovative design for easy operation, ensuring higher safety, and little or no maintenance required. The ESM device is also equipped with self-diagnostic functions.

ASTA Type Tested (IEC 439 Form 3 and 4) Motor Control Centres are also available.

Characteristics of power electronic capacitors

ICAR's power electronic capacitors offer a wide range of capacitors for both AC and DC applications meeting the latest development in the power electronic field, particularyly for inverters and UPS. ICAR manufactures low-, medium- and high-voltage capacitors impregnated with BIOIL, bio degradable fluid that does not contain chlorinated substance or presents any ecological problems. These capacitors are also designed and built in compliance with the folling standards:-

• CEI 33-7
• IEC 971-1-2
• NEMA CP.1

All ICAR medium- and high-voltage capacitoes are designed for a rated frequency of 50 or 60 and their rated output range are from 50 to 500kvar; they can operate for long periods at an output of upto 135% of the rated value. These capacitors can also be supplied with any rated voltage as required vy the customer.

The low-voltage capacitor banks output range are designed and built to customers' requirement of voltage up to 690V.

Heavy duty capacitors are suitable for installation in networks slightly affected by voltage and current harmonics contents

Where critical applications exist (such as the presence of harmonics), this can be fulfilled by automatic MICROMATIC power factor correction banks equipped with tuned or blocking filters.
